I’ve never done anything wrong, I’ve lived a good life, yet suddenly I’m accused of murder. All the evidence points to her as the prime suspect, and Shushu ends up in Ugwell Women’s Prison. “Trust me. I’ll find the real killer and clear your name.” That’s what her boyfriend Edwin promises, but life in the harsh prison, full of criminals of all kinds, is too much for her. She needs a “prison husband” to make life easier. “Would you like to be my prison wife to protect yourself?” someone asks. “I already have one.” “What? Who?!” “My boyfriend.”
Despite being the same woman, Shushu even proposes to Minicat, who runs the prison, but all she gets in return are silly remarks. “I don’t want to be the wife of someone who doesn’t even like me.”
However, that didn’t last long, as Minicat, the inmate who had accepted the proposal on a whim, kissed her back. “It’s a rule.” His voice scratched the roof of my ears, sending shivers down my spine. “Close your eyes when you kiss.”
“……”
“That way, you look so beautiful.”
In that moment, I was certain that no matter who I kissed after this, I would never forget what it felt like to kiss Minicat.
